old photos

Each time I'm home in Syracuse, I have a habit of poring over old photo albums, staying up late into the night remembering stories I promised myself I would never forget. Each time I do this, I'm reminded of the countless experiences so many of us shared together - and am both happy, and then once again sad, thinking about Kara and the amazing times we shared. In so many photos, she poses - pretending to look serious, but really just holding back that grin we know will emerge just as soon as the camera flashes. She made growing up so much fun, and I remain grateful for the time I shared with Kara. I miss her everyday, but that incredible smile will remain in my memories and my heart forever.
