I'm following you...

I'm actually doing it Kara. Tomorrow I'm moving to NYC. I am filled with so many emotions- excitement and anticipation at the new things to come, stress of moving, nervousness about my new job, new friends, new places, and this change in my life, and sadness about leaving Chris, Maureen, Aidan, and Madeline in Rochester, my roommates and friends who I have spent the past five years with, and mom and dad here in Cazenovia. I'm a bit scared about the whole thing, Kara, but I'm staying strong. You are my inspiration about everything I do in life, but particularly this move. I will look for you on the streets and in the subway. When I'm lost I'll think of you getting lost there too, and then you can help me find my way. I remember how much you loved living in NY and everything you did there. I couldn't do this move without you, Kara. It makes me miss you more though. I want you to show me your favorite restaurants, your special spots in Brooklyn, and take me to a Mets game that you loved so much. I know you'll be guiding me through the city though, I'll be laughing and smiling at images of you doing the running man in the streets, making any situation fun, and bringing a light to my life that you are so good at doing. Thanks for your support Kara and don't be mad at me for not living in Brooklyn! I'll carry your Brooklyn pride with me wherever I go. I love you.
