A Kara Day

Sometimes, I will be walking down the street and out of the corner of my eye catch a glimpse of Kara. Perhaps, it is the bouncing brown head, a mannerism, the tone of someone’s voice. My skin goes cold, the hair on my arms stand up on end and I believe for a moment that I have seen her. Regardless if these little reappearing Karaisms are intended or not, I always stop and think about my friend. I like to think that Kara is looking down on me and smiling. As if to say, “yes Nance I’m here not to worry.” Of course, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about Kara, but on those particular days when I feel her its’ different. I am comforted by her presence and the little unexpected reminders. Kara please keep reappearing, as always, I miss you.
