thank you

We are deeply touched and very grateful for the love, for the caring, and for the memories that so many people have shared with us over these past 14 months and 5 days. Remembering Kara and living a part of her spirit through your lives are the greastest gifts you can give to us, and to Kara. The cards; flowers; e-mails; calls; prayers; contributions to her memorial scholarship fund; and especially the contributions to her web site have helped to comfort us . Just to know that you are sharing in our sorrow makes me appreciate how connected we all are. Days like today, her 25 birthday; or January 15th, the anniversary of her death, are so very painful. It is said that "a sorrow shared is halved" and I feel that is true. So thank you for helping to ease our sadness.* But the second part of the saying is also true; "a joy shared is doubled." Kara was a joy to know. I'm ever grateful for the joy she brought into life. Yes, she was searching and she struggled like all of us, but she sure was fun to be with. The words to the song "I hope you dance" remind me of Kara. The wonder; the hunger; faith and heaven; taking chanches; and especially choosing to dance! My prayer is that we all may continue to share in the joy of Kara's spirit, and think of her smile each day....and dare to dance ourselves. Thanks Kara, and Happy Birthday! with love and gratitude, Kara's dad *see Looking Forward
