missing you

So often, I find myself wandering back to this website. I read and re-read the messages and stories that people have written about Kara. Somehow this makes me feel more connected to her and I can think of her more clearly when I read the beautiful stories written about her. My 21st birthday is in a couple of days, and yes, I'm excited for it. But there's this feeling in me, just waiting for Kara to call at midnight to wish me happy birthday. A silly card waiting for me when I come home. A cute little present that she picked up at the last minute when she remembered that she hadn't gotten me anything. So as excited as I'll be on my birthday, this disappointment in me will be so great. Just to hear her voice or receive a card, what I would do for that. Kara, I know you're thinking of me, celebrating with me, and loving me as I'm loving you every day. I miss you.
