Happy birthday! Michael and I just had our 30th two weeks ago and he was amazed today to learn that you were two weeks younger than us. He said you always seemed older. How did you fit so much in by 23? I keep writing lines and erasing them because they're so contrived. So I stopped to just think and cry and as I buried my head in my hands to sob I was thinking of you and hoping you know how much you're loved. I was wondering if you really knew all the ways we all still think of you. At that moment an alarm just went off (literally) on a device in the other room. Everyone else is in bed, and I don't know what the alarm was, why it went off, or how it was set in the first place (it's from a new appliance). It's not mystical or beautiful, but I'd like to think it was you acknowledging my thoughts. I'll take what I can get. Maybe you're feeling funny on your birthday like all the times we'd get spooked sneaking around camp at night... Happy Birthday, from one UAC-er to another.
